Canal Architectural were approached by Adam Row’s Construction to manufacture a contemporary floating staircase for a luxury property in the Chelsea area. Canal manufactured a cantilever staircase with 15 timber treads, glass balustrades and brass handrails. The modern structure featured glass fixings with on trend patinated brass cappings. For a final touch strips of lights were added underneath the treads to brighten the structure and for an artistic finish. In addition Canal Architectural supplied the glass balustrade to the basement stair as well as a cantilever stair to the external access area. The final result was an exquisite, contemporary structure that blended perfectly with the urban surroundings.
Mark Hailey from Adams Row Construction commented “The works carried out by Canal on Upper Cheyne Row is seamless. As far as I’m concerned Canal have produced a good, aesthetically pleasing product that is the focal point of the property. The staircase design called on a lot of setting out to achieve the clients love and appreciation of symmetry, we only achieved this by collaborating with Canal and Mark to work out the detail down to a millimetre. Your aftercare service for a better word cannot be faulted”
The talented project management team at Canal worked closely with the contractor Adam’s Row Construction to ensure the staircase was fitted in compliance with the latest UK staircase building regulations.
