We carry out structural calculations, in particular, to assess the potential wind loading on the finished item. This will often determine the principal structural framework elements of the sign, which include the base plate, bolt cage, and the size of any concrete base if appropriate.
For most architectural signage fabrication work, and in particular, that which relates to the larger retail parks, we provide full architectural drawings of the commercial signage display proposed for use in planning applications. Once approved, we complete engineering drawings prior to production.
Before delivering the completed commercial signage to the site, we pass full information to the main contractor or client regarding any power supply requirements for the finished product.
In addition, we draw up and agree on full method statements and risk assessments with the main contractor or client to ensure the health and safety of all involved in the final architectural signage installation.
